Frequently asked questions

Why does the app ask for my location?

Sunrise and sunset depend on where you are. Without location the app can't calculate the times. Location is used on your device only and never transmitted anywhere — details in the privacy policy.

The times look wrong.

First check that location permission is granted (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Surya) and that your iPhone's date, time and time zone are set to automatic. If it's still off, write to me with your rough location and I'll look into it.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no login and no ads.

What data is collected?

None. The app collects and transmits no personal data. See privacy.

I have an idea for a feature.

Please send it. Suggestions from actual daily use tend to be the best ones, and plenty of them do end up in the app.
